The Kings Bay Silver & Gold Auction
On Saturday, March 12, 2016, the Kings Bay Submarine Officers’ Spouses’ Association (SOSA), along with the Kings Bay Chiefs’ spouses, will host the 26th annual Kings Bay Silver and Gold Charitable Auction. This event will benefit the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation and local charities. As in previous years, 75 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation and 25 percent of the proceeds will be dispersed to local 501 [c] [3] charities and/or causes.
The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation (DSF) offers tuition scholarships to children of United States Naval Submarine servicemen and women. Currently, DSF supports over 115 recipients with a yearly scholarship of $3,400. A significant portion of the auction proceeds help fund these scholarships. Local charities are selected through a grant application process. Last year, 250 guests attended our auction and gave us the ability to support more than four scholarships for DSF and helped us assist seven local charities!
